Good idea for the avitar.
I have a Lumix DMC-FZ5 and it's amazing. No joke, when we were looking at camaras we overheard a conversation between the salesman and a customer who is an optomitrist and he bought one and uses it exclusivly for work purposes so I guess it's pretty good. They have Leica lenses.

I have a Lumix too!!!!!! Except mine is a DMC-TZ3. Nice little camera, good at capturing motion, as your photo shows.

Well guess what you're not alone.
Mine ONLY eats in the dark and to get that pic I sat in darkness in my basement with just my camera led screen for light and waited for the strike and took the shot with a flash.
