Nope only when I turn on the light and for awhile he will do that and claim down.

I had a Hydrocynus vitatus with a Hydrolicus scomberoides for about three years and only had a problem once. My vitatus bit half of my Payara's back tail off. They never fought again and the tail grew back relatively fast.
