Armatus - Live Food Choices (Need advice)

Need advice on what to feed my Armatus.

He used to be ok with 3-inch Silver Sharks, for which I managed to find a supplier to sell to me cheap, in bulk.

But he now seems to only prefer larger ones - the 4-inch to 5-inch kinds, and I can't seem to find them for bulk sale.

So just wanna find out what alternatives there are.

Since you can get the sharks in bulk maybe you can set up another tank where you can fatten them up untill they are big enough for the armatus....or,maybe it is time to train him onto shrimp and prawn.

Yeah, I did think about keeping the silver sharks till they got bigger, but they seem to grow at a really slow rate.

Not really too sure if he'd be ok with shrimp.

i had this problem w my old armatus but i had him on frozen foods.

it seems they like big meals lol

im sure singapore is alot different then here in the usa, but large goldfish are always avail here

Mine seems to eat nothing but live and ONLY fish. And looking at the way he catches his meals, I can't see how he eats other stuff.

Maybe I ought to go get "one of everything", and see which works best.

What about feeder goldfish,can you get them in your area?

Not sure about armatus. I have been feeding a new Tat feeders to get him ready to switch over. He ate real well on feeders. Two days ago i got him to take a frozen silverside on a fishing line....Now of course he has ich.

Only time i have had ich in three years. Only time i bought feeders in three years. The At in the tank is symptom free. These guys are ich magnets! I would get off live as quick as possible. My feeders were coming from a very good high turnover LFS not a box store. I am pissed.

Yeah, I can get goldfishes here. Not really too sure about how much those cost compared to Silver Sharks. I had bought a bag of them when he was smaller. Didn't really think of getting them again, cos they are quite messy.
Will keep a look out for them tomorrow, when I head down to the Fish Farms

I asked about them because Vamptrev mentioned them,and also,I've noticed that my armatus really goes after the bigger goldfish that I drop in and he seems to almost ignore the smaller fish.
