Armatus or Scomb.. ? Wish for Armatus

Just started them on small Gold fish 2 weeks ago. As they are too big for rubies or guppies.

I know it is not the best protein wise.. but these guys are real porc.

I wasn’t planning on giving them dead shrimps, pallets or anything.. just want to find a good live food that woudn’t bust the budget too..

What would be best as to keep them on live food?

Feeders give the best growth ime if you actually take care of them a little before feeding them. I'd also make sure you quarantine them.

Yup, quanrantine in a tank for a week with anti-bacterial and anti fungus. Water change every two days. (after the treatments of course)

I’m beginning in this hobby but i’m taking this very seriously as for specs, well being of the fish, etc.

Awaiting a 150g tank tomorrow or monday with a sump of 800g/hr. Etc..

I know it is not « recommended » to have a planted aquarium for Armatus, because of their speed and « omg i will just bump in this very pointy piece of draft wood » but i take real care of not putting pointy stuff in the tank.

They are in a 70g growing tank right now..

Well I'd say feed the feeders pellets before giving them to the armatus. And you're aware of armatus growth rate etc right?
