Armatus Payara eye problem

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Eye problems are usualy one of the first signs of poor water quality. If it was a tankmate, there would probably be more physical damage/trauma.

Keep the water prestine and he will be fine.

Usualy cloudy eye signs poor water quality.
In the payara, the red cyrcle seems a lot like trauma to me.
It's like theres blood in the eye.
Eye not cloudy at all.

About 2 weeks ago i had a PBass from this setup with eye problem also, not cloudy, not red, but poped out and a little white on the edge.
This wasn't from bad water quality for sure, the day before i made a water change.

All these signs to me a much stresfulll setup and not so much bad conditions.
And if this is true, i would like a second opionion to seperate them and change this aggressive setup...

Edit: OK mate, thanks very much.

If anything probably the cichla, they can be nippy with other fish.

just do a 50 % water change a week and add salt. enough said. My armatus had cloudy eye. I did a 50% wc and it cleared up in 12 hours.

It might be aggresion between tankmates?
