.....thats a good question....
Just curious, what have you seen or what do you keep with your armatus? Any gars, bichirs, rays, aros, crenicichla, catfish etc? If you have pics, even better!

bottom dwellers all the way. i have bichirs with him right now. rays work great. any other fish ive tried lately he has killed or come close to killing. my new guy i have w a pbass, im hoping they grow at about the same rate and stay comfortable togeother. although the little armatus is already taking shots at the pbass. an aro might be ok because he will always be at the top. careful though my big guy killed an aro b4. the rays will be back w the big guy when i get my big tank.

my armatus was about 9 or 10'' and the aro was about 6 or 7 inch silver aro. if the aro was bigger then the armatus, it might have worked. i had a jardini with my armatus for a long time but they started fighting alot, so the jar had to go. i just got some bad news, i might only be able to fit a 400 to 500 gallon aquarium in my basement. not as big as i wanted but i guess it will do. bottom dwelers are the best route to go though.

aro-man, u still have ur armatus with that scomb?

Mike, ur guy doin good?

Yeah, still with the scombs...not sure for how much longer though cause he is DEFINATLY getting more aggressive! four or five hundred gallon! Well, you know what they say vamptrev....anything fits with a big enough hammer ;)

ya, im going to bust out a wall. my door to the basement is in the middle of a hallway, so its gonna be tough. i move in in two weeks, i cant wait. i would get some bichirs, and try an aro. when i get my big tank, im gonna get a huge aro from my buddy and see if my armatus can get used to him.

Yeah my guy is still with us. He still has a skinny stomach though. I hear that they are such big eaters and everyone has vids of theirs eating and I have yet to experience it. He has been in the tank alone for 3weeks and 2 days now. Yes, feeders have disappeared with no db's and 2 times I noticed a feeders shape in the Arm's stomach. I hope he comes around soon. How big of a tank did you want?Id say 500 is pretty damn good. What are the dimentions of the tank? Your Armatus will grow big in that, it will be an amazing setup. Oh I almost forgot, I already have the Aro, it's a black @ 22" in length that won't eat fish to save it's life. It only likes large prawns, Hikari Gold large pellets and crickets do you think it might work?.My Aro is currently in the big tank with my 8-9'' redtail and total harmony between the 2 however I know it's not an Armatus.
Thanks
