I have and it hasnt seemed to have bothered him as much as when your fussing near the front of tank...then again it was a quick in/out on the opposite side of the tank to remove something, but I have never really deliberately tested if he would bite ect..I actually avoid stressing him as much as possible.

Thats probably a good idea DM...would be interesting to know if he would attack though....then you'd know you have a true Monster!

Very nice bro. I told you you'd love him. He's only going to get more and more territorial and bold as it gets older. Great job on raising him up. He'll hit the foot mark in no time. Big difference from owning scombs, huh? :headbang2

Looks good. Cant wait to beef mine up. I got a couple too!!

hey DM, be careful keeping feeders in w him at all times, i used to do that and ended up with parasites. even when u are careful and the feeders look healthy, u dont know what they could have. just wanted to share my experience, it took me about 2 weeks of constant worrying b4 i got it under control. i lost 4 vamps all togeother, thank good i didnt loose my armatus. congrats, check out this pic!

My feeders come from a steril lab type hatchery(fathead minnows)...no worries ;) they go from egg tumblers to different grow out steel tanks to raceways and then to my home...it is an indoor facility with no outside interference and the filtration systems are all connected to huge UVs....I get approx 200 delivered via hatchery truck a week. Out of all the tanks at my home, every fish eats the same so it is actually cost efficient for me to feed this way....all the small ones I drop in the armatus tank and he basically eats them at his own pace.

it's looking very cool DM ;)

Wow super growth rate.. very nice..
