It rubs it's nose cuz it's skittish. Babies are always nervous until they get a foot or so. When i got mine, it had rubbed it's nose alot and it becam red. Now it healed. I would show my beauty but i'm too lazy! lol
He seems settled in now, hes actualy out roaming the tank, still fights his own reflection smetimes. Is this normal for these types of fish? Iv seen many pics of peoples developing "nose rub". Anywhoo he ate about 5 to 6 bite sized pieces of talapia last night. Hes not picky about picking it up off the ground either, almost seems like the armatus preferres it that way.
Im just happy he adjusted well, and is now on the right track to becomming a fish i will enjoy for years to come. Thanks for all your input guys, I will upload some pics later when im off work. Kinda hiding in the lunch room right now lol
He's still not the most active during the day, but once the lights turn off and the moonlights kick in, he's constantly out swimming. So for the next while (or until he's more comfortable during the daytime) I'm going to feed him once a day. Once he's more active I may bump up his feeding. How often and how much do you feed yours?
