I've carefully reconsidered. I don't see any reason to think these are not classic and commonly-looking baby irwini.

I am growing up a dozen of them from different sources, from 3". They are now ~1'. They all looked like that with slight variations in color hues and spot pattern etc. There is really no other Doradid I can even propose as a remote alternative.

Not trying to be wayward or steamroll over anyone. Just my humble opine. Feel free to pick it apart - I love learning.
