hahahahaha dude you watch too much scifi..... and Why on earth would you shoot a fish???? omg lol... i couldn't resist.... i wanna see evidence of this fish eating children... no way. Thats the equivalent of saying that a North American Bowfin came out of the water and ate a baby... load of bull.

As for the catfish, a complete trajedy, seems like Florida is set up worse than the Illinois river is with Silver Carp.

dude he was joking

Yeah that thing about eating children is not real. Probably made because of their aggressive look. However we kill anyone we come across. Mostly on rod and reel and we put them in the cooler for supper or with a rifle/bow/gig. We don't want them treating are natives.

I guess i've never heard of offing a fish with a gun... and btw i knew he was joking, i tried to sound sarcastic but it didn't work apparently lol. I have heard of people freaking out about them, and it is good that they taste good (apparently) maybe people will eat them.....

Why do people make up their own names? It's a common pleco, not an armored catfish. Those are two different kinds of fish. Shows you what they know!

Well we have called these pleco armoured catfish before and they have different common names. Suckermouth catfish, algae eater and sucker are few common names for the common pleco. There are different species of armoured catfish in Florida, not just a common pleco. I believe there are two or three species of pleco in Florida.

Also we have called these brown hoplos, corydoras, twig catfish and whiptail catfish an armoured catfish.
