anyone keep arowana(s) with wolffish?
it can be silver, black aro, jardini, african aro and with any hoplias species.
curious to find out how long has it been working, what kind of setup and size difference between the fish?

Interesting, never seen that combination before. I heard black wolf- fish are pretty aggressive and can eat very large fish.

Ok, i have kept a 12" RTG with a 10" Hoplias Curupira before. The aro had some torn fins but not really anything huge. The black wolf was an aggressive feeder, and also aggressive when other fish got close to it. I'm pretty sure when the black got a good size i wouldve probably come home to a dead arowana one day. Dont think i would mix the two again..

I was thinking getting a hoplias malabaricus at 2" and grow it out together with 6"-7" aro..bad idea I guess...

i have herd that malas are hit or miss on agresstion so you wont know till you try it and even then it could work for a while and then one day go bad...i have had my 'rainbow' wolf with my silver aros and it has been fine and it will attack my hand if i put it in the tank...the e. something (rainbow wolf...i can't seem to remember what or how to spell/say it) are the least agressive from my exp and research...if you have a spare setup if it doesnt work i say it is worth a shot and if it dosen't work you can have the malas in a diff tank to get the best of both worlds...gl

malas are not bad at all with agro, just get a little excited during feeding.

If you don't mind a few fin rips/tears on the aro, then I think it could work.. sort of.

I know total mistake, I couldn't figure out how to change it either. Yeah I made the account intending to do a aro tank, I've been way too busy last year with school and stuff to go through with it though. Trying again for this year. Thanks!! :)

Sorry op, also off topic..
