I was thinking getting a hoplias malabaricus at 2" and grow it out together with 6"-7" aro..bad idea I guess...

You do know the wolf fish would be gone right? as in the Arowana would try to eat it. Doesn't matter what kind.

I suppose it would work if the wolf was smaller than the aro but not small enough that the aro would eat it. Any hoplias but Aimara, that would be a big no no, dead aro for sure...
