unfortunately by the time I found him it was too late :( he was about 15ft from the tank, must of jumped and crawled a bit like someone else said theirs did, he was nowhere near where I was checking unfortunately. I didn't think he would get that far, poor guy. I even went back to the fish store that sold me the duck weed that floats and said I think the hanging weeds freaked him out and he jumped, the guy denied it to the tee because he didn't want to be held responsible I guess, but oh well lesson learned. I got the plastic open holed flat crate to cover all the openings in the back. N in my loss I decided to buy a gorgeous electric blue dempsey (he was $80) :) got a discount on him for that reason lol

Is he an electric blue?

He looks an awful lot like my old regular male JD.
I did not know EBJD could get the black pattern, I guess it must be "fresh out of the bag" stress.

Yea that was straight out of the bag after a 20 min drive in the car lol guess he was a little stressed out. He's so blue now with specks of green and gold it looks like, beautiful
 
Awesome, EBJDs look amazing compared to their price IMHO. :)
