I'll see if I can get any update pix tonight. Looks like he'll grow up with a green base. I'm in the process of pricing out tanning lights. :)

sweet, i'm looking forward to it :headbang2

lol theyre like children

i might as well add some of my exp:

- in comms the aros tend to eat better. red and BB are separated by themselves. Both are extremely fickle eaters. BB absolutely refuses to eat hikari even after starvation of two weeks (i broke down and fed meal worms after). red grudgingly accepts couple of pellets after two weeks fast but only couple of pellets, The only sure thing is meal worms and fully defrosted market prawns (must be shelled). Note: BB refused to eat live geckos yesterday. Red ate those like a champ.
- x-back used to be like that until i put in comm. now he fights for food just like everyone else.
- my silvers were never fickle eaters - all is edible. paimas also very easy to feed.
- black aro in solitary is also very good eater - pellets from day one and the rest after
- green aro is also not fickle but it was brought up in a large comm

I bet aro never refuse live food - can't confirm cos have not fed live feeders in ages. though like i said before BB refused live gecko yesterday even though he did not eat all day.

Sometime a mere -1 or +1 of ph reading can make the fish stop or eat alot. Another factor is stress which could be from tankmates or tank.

I got a big red at home which just ate a frog in a period of 8 months.

Out of the 4 asians I've kept each one has gone off feeding after having strong appetites. Each time I've had to add some sort of tank mate that has a fast feeding response at the top level. So far silver dollars have worked the best for me because they hit the top of the water. Trying barbs right now. Not quite as good but they are still stimulating the aros feeding response when they frenzy

For the first time in a couple of months, I fed the chilli market shrimp last night. He ate more than I've ever seen him eat before. :)

Market shrimp served my RTG well. I'm hoping this guy stays on it. :)

Now that I think back, my RTG really took off after I had added the endli bichir to his tank.
