the water coming outta the tap where I live is bout 7.8 usually and that's all I ever used with a lil amquell. it never seemed to bother my arrow or my stingrays , but on the other hand arapima's really didn't seem to like the local tap very much .. so I guess it sort of depends on what kind of bony tongue you are referring to?
