I work at an LFS part time. Today a gentleman dropped off a 24" pearly white aro. It has some slight eye damage from being in a 55 gallon at his resturaunt with crappy water. Anyway he gave it to us since he was closing the resturaunt
.
It has damage to both eyes that appears to be some sort of bacterial infection. One eye is red and inflamed while the other has some lens corossion.
I took this fish home to rehab in a 125 since our shop owner didnt want it. I have begun atreatment of amoxacillin and ampicillin, while planning 20% water changes weekly.
I have searched the forums and found some tips but does anyone have any other tips to help speed up his recovery?
Pardon my ignorance, I have been in saltwater for a long time now and dont know too much about specialty deisease treatment for freshwater fish.
Thanks,
Brian
