kind of offtopic but what do i feed my 6inch jardini. i feel that feeding him bloodworms isnt enough? and he will not take pellets no matter how hard i try, same with the shrimp but my other fishes lovee shrimp.. anyways any suggestion will be appriciated

anyways back on topic it will help to settle him down with the lights off and possibly covering up the tank with newspaper. worked wonders for my jar.

i suggest medium size Crickets, meal worms, Freeze dried Krill and red worms (red wigglers). Gut load them with flakes before feeding. Dont give them feeder fish. Once your fish settles try pellets again. There are several topics on how to do it.

When i get a new fish i always find out what food it was raised with and go from there. Also if you have any gaps between the top and the filter ,no mater how small cover it up asap 1000s learn the hard way with little aros.NO FEEDERS

My baby loves pellets, I bought the extra small hikari cichlid gold ones and he was able to eat them right away when he was small. He didn't eat for a few days when I first brought him home and the first thing he did eat was a few little bloodworm pieces, and that opened the floodgates. Now he gets the little pellets and he eats the flake I put in for everyone else too. He has grown enough that now he can get several pellets at once, or a foodstick (I still usually break those in half though because sometimes the full ones wedge his mouth open).
