aro pelvic fin streamer bitten off will it grow back?

Possibly, my black aro (about 18" at the time) broke it's streamer. Took a week to fall off, then within 4-5 weeks it regrew to original length.

Though I have seen many pics of large aros with out, so only time will tell.

Ultra clean water is the best remedy for aros to regenerate fins

when my silver jumped out the streamers dried up and came off they grew back to the same if not longer...clean water does wonders as bderick said...

thanks guys, after 2 days of intense feeding I can see a tiny tip sprouting. got this guy a few days ago and he was banged up hard, all his split fins and tail are all showing sighs of regrowth

in a few weeks it should be look'n real good...after mine jumped it looked like hell...few weeks later like a diff fish...gl and post some pics

here is a pic of him all banged up. not worried too much about his fins and tail Im sure that will grow back but his missing steamer worried me. I do detect a tiny tip forming so it looks promising

I rescued this guy from an aggressive odoe pike. now his in a peaceful geo tank and eating frozen krill like a pig. I'll post more pics as he heals more. Thanks again guys
