I hope it grows back soon. Mine's missing his pelvic fin as well, but it's been more than 2 weeks, have not seen any progress or any sign of anything growing out yet.

Ughhhhhh... same thing happened to me 2 weeks ago... well not to me, but to my Arowana... One of it is completely missing.... I haven't seen any progress of growth AT ALL. NADA. NOTHING. I think it has completely broke off. There should be a little protrusion where it comes out, and I do not see anything.
I have had clean water in there, and added some aquarium salts as well, but seems like it doesn't work.

Check NO3 (Nitrate) parametr. Tell me what you get.
I had the same problem, and I'm sure (99%) that it must be because of water condition. If you see "clean" water in your tank, it can't be clean for your fish. You must got "good" water for fish, thats mean:
NO3 - 5 to 10;
NO2 - 0
Ammonia - 0
Check this parameters and let me know !
PS: I'm using to test water: API TEST KIT- FRESHWATER
