Scleropages formosus reclassification would be good if done properly to detail out each specie but seems those people involved just did a half past six kind of job.

A. PREVIOUS CLASSIFICATION

Scleropages formosus - Malaysian Golden, Grade 1 red / Super red, Red Tailed Golden (RTG), Bandjar red / Grade 2 red, Green.

B. LATEST CLASSIFICATION

1. Scleropages formosus - Malaysian Golden and Green.
2. Scleropages legendrei - Grade 1 red / Super red.
3. Scleropages aureus - Red Tailed Golden (RTG)
4. Scleropages macrocephalus - Silver Asian arowana, yellow-tailed silver arowana, gray-tailed silver

The disputes on the latest classifications;
1. Why Malaysian golden and Green still been listed under the same specie of Scleropages formosus? They're of different category, color and character.

2. Shall the Green from Malaysia, Indonesia and Myanmar listed as one specie?

3. Under which specie shall the Bandjar red / Grade 2 red be listed?

4. Scleropages macrocephalus - Which type of Asian arowana are they referring to? :grinno:
