yeah, he'll be less jumpy at a larger age in my experience. usually juvis are the crazy jumpers

Thanks for the info guys, His tank is in my living room and I am always in there so he is very used to seeing me. Thanks meiling for the tip I will have to try it.

Just get a 2x4x6ft wood to add the weight on top... nice and neat..take it off when you there and need to work on the tank..put it back when you leave.. they get into their jumping jittery moods and then it passes and then they do it again.. so always leave something heavy weighing down the top.

Mine hit the lid the other night and knocked a scale off. I got a night light now. Someone was moving by the tank at night and it scared him.

its not that he doesnt know you he just is not acclimated to seeing people... man idont know where you guys get your info but I am tired of all this here say carp that people are throwing out there
