Aro spazing out for no reason

I got a 7 inch aro in a 55g grow out tank for the time being and its tank mates are only clown loaches sleeping in its cave most of the time.

Sometimes out of nowhere, he spaz out or should i say gets a panic attack out of nowhere. The room is quiet and no1 is near the tank. Lights are off. Night time i have moon lights

Water parameters are normal. Theres no electrical shock in the water

He would injure his mouth & head

I tried lowering water levels & he still
Spazes out. He would jump 5-6 times. Its crazy that i can hear it at night time

I could understand if some1 freaks him out or theres no a vibration on the ground. Any input

most likely the other fishes movements, especially if they're bigger and don't move around often. when they do move, the aro spooks.

Could be water quality issues, who knows, your giving us a 5000 Answer question, its necesssary to know more variables in order to narrow it down

It sounds like your Aro is not settled in confident yet. When the clown loach wiz around maybe that make's him jump. It is best if they are kept where they can have human interaction ,like in the living room. If your tank is too small he is likely to get gil curl & get stressed
 
it's just how they are when they're younger. make sure you got your tank covered up good. It will get better as he gets larger.

Its still young. I doubt its the clown loaches . Anyways, i took the clown loaches out. So the aro is by himself.

Sounds crazy but i got rid of the moonlight. Maybe its the moonlight thats making him freak out at night.

One scale came off yesterday & it dont wanna eat. Sigh

I had this aro since march and only the last month or so its been acting this way.

Mines in a 220 gallon tank he bout 8 inches.... I heard him hit the tpp last night, woke up n it looks like he peeld a scale back by his eye... I jus called him a retard for jumpin into the top of the tank so hard lol.... butine domt do it cpnstantly either.... Thia was the first n prolly the last by lookin at his dome piece I think he leard.
