Aro with holes on scales down both sides

Title says it all I just notice them today and can't remember if they been that reveling. I know it's not the darker likes cus it's right in the middle down each side.

This has happened before, someone just noticing their arowana's lateral line.

My rtg has got this its down to nitrate i think,ive asked koji on here but after his first response he doesnt seem to want to answer me,ive been doing two large wc every week for about 5weeks to help, its not got any worse but not getting any better as far as i can see,also ive got polys in my tank so not sure on the medification front either,be good to see the responses.

Have you noticed any of the scales edges look like they are burning away?
I know what the lateral line looks like but this sounds just like mine,il try for pics tonight.
