i use acrylic cover glasses with filled plastic bottles of water

never lost an aro in more than 10yrs

keep the water level high most of the aro power comes when it leaveing the water with the last flip of the tail higher water level less power

i watched mine put his tail on the bottom, coil up like a snake, and push off, up , and out....
