Wondering if they would work out together and what size the tank should be? I'm thinking one Silver or Jar and maybe one pair of Parrots and a pleco?

i have a 23" silver with 3 bp's around 4 to 5". too fat maybe to be eaten by the aro. that's in my case.

I've kept purple parrots, 3-4" with my asian red tail gold arowana since he was 15" with no issues.

Once noticed the dominant parrot confronting the arow, which tried to eat him, but had to spit him out, too big lol. Must of been in breeding mode because he kept coming back for more.

Now the arow is 22" and has 5 king kong parrots, 6-7" for company. They are real pigs and adequate filtration is a must.

Hybred red parrots are a popular choice to house with arowanas, good luck.

Why anyone would want to keep a nasty man made woobly tropical gold fish also know as a fake parrot fish with a fish as graceful as a Arowana I just can't understand

You have thousands of other nice fish you can keep with your aro why waste the tank space

Different strokes for different folkes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, ect...

Whats so hard to understand ?

I like the combo with blood parrots and aro's.

Some of us dont judge them until we see them. And then we see a neat little cichlid that mixes well with many other fish.
