i recently ordered a 540gal tank for all my cichlids. when it gets here i will have a free 220. what i plan on doing is getting an aro (i have always wanted one). Can i put a few p bass in with my aro or are pbass to aggressive? they seen like cool fish i like them but have never owned one. if they so much as nip a fin on my aro they will be swimming the sewers. what do you think?

They may or may not.

They will eat anything that can fit in their mouth though...

Cichla arn't really aggressive to other kinds of fish.

just make sure your aro is bigger than your pbass and wun ever fit into its mouth. I have pbass with my aros...in the aro comm tank with 6 asian aros, i have a 12-13 inch mono pbass. the aros are around 12-15 inches. they never give each a look. in the south american tank, i have a 13 inch black aro, and several 5 to 8 inches orino pbass, no probs either.

ehh they will pick on each other some times buti feel that it really depends on the what type of cichla yoo plan on going with... orinos are out of question! tems and monos and even ocellaris are a big more mellow and usually only pick on each other... if they harm your aro, you can also send them to me ;)

For my case, my aro is around 8" n my P.Bass abt 6". P.bass will try to challenge my aro whenever it swims down to it's territory. But so far no fight yet. But my advice is try not to have P.Bass more than half the size of ur aro. Shld be quite safe.
