yea do you got pics of taht pond? idk the exact size of the pool i was just gusing but now that im looking at it i bet its around 5'x 3' or sumthing i mean its pretty deacent size. So for filtration i was planning on getting 1 meduim sized canister, then after a few months buying a pool sand filter.

whered u get that container for? i would much rather get something that is hard plastic instead of what the pool is made of its a thick skinned inside but u blow it up so idk if it would work that well if i could find that i would much rather get something simular.

stock tanks like that are sold at your local tractor supply store for $50+ depending on size. im in the process of building a 1000+ indoor pond that is 8x8x2.5 total cost under $200. some 2x4's 4x4's plywood, pond liner 14x14' $59.99, wood paneling to match the room for the outside, and a 1x6 of nice wood stained to match the paneling for the ledge around the top. i built my own filter out of a 35 gal rubber maid container, plus the 1500 gph utility pump for $45 and i have a filter set up for under $100. its alot more decor friendly this way than a stock tank. no offense, just my wife wont let me do it unless its pretty.

btw, stocked with oscars, pacu, clown knife, florida gar. planning to put in a divider and getting more gar.

Yup, I got mine at Tractor Supply...

Building your own is cheaper in the long run if you have a permanent place to put it. The Rubbermaid got me through a few years until I bought my own house.

I've looked at a few inflatable pools and I've yet to find one I would truct to house Cichlids long term. One misplaced spine at 3am and you'll have quite a mess on your hands...

Thaat is why i want the stock tnak. Its a bit more spendy but i longer lasting. My Parents wont let me make this permanet so... So i really need hlep choosing the fish idk what to choose though?

I would get the tank before I got the fish :P

yes but i really like pre planning. Hmm idk heres what im thinking right now, either two large central american males cichlids of two diffrent species. Maby some fronts though that would be quite spendy. A Mbuna setup would look cool with all those diffrent colors. And finnaly just like a oddball setup

Hmmmmm

when youre thinking about what to get remember that you can only see down, and small fish are harder to see. would most def. say get something colorful but larger than a mbuna. if you went with the fronts, just get 3, they'll fill in the rest. just go get yourself 3-4 oscars, in a year you'll have 4 overgrown pets that are great pond fish. my oscars always come to greet me when i walk into the room, none of the other fish do that, plus they grow large, there colorful, and there nowhere near as SPENDY as fronts.
