Sure can. All of my aros fed and feed on AZOO arowana sticks, carnivore sticks, FD krill, and FD plankton. But, I do offer them the occassional gut-loaded crickets.
Yeah I had silvers that I traied to eat pellets. It took some time, but little by little they caught onto them. I guess it helps if you starve them a little too. Dont know how some people feel about that last part though. The green I just got ate pellets from the start so I was more than happy about that! I was just feeding the cichlids and he zoomed up and gulped some down right away.
BTW, all of my gars, tarpons, oscars, red bay snooks, giant gouramies, paratilapias, barramundi, fronts, severums, brazilian parrots, and irridescent sharks also feed on the aro sticks and carnivore sticks.
i noticed they grow faster when fed with fresh food , rather than pellets.
also when small try to feed twice a day.
they don't seem to eat that much when fed with pellets compared to when fed with prawns and superworms.
I use Hikari, one aro I starved onto it, this one loves the pellets. I figure start if off in ideal supplemental nutrition, now my aro eats pellets and everything else is a treat, he has no problem switching.
