Could an arowana and a pack of 6 clown loaches live in a 125 to grow them out im getting the arowana at about 4 inches and i was wondering how big i should get the clown loaches

depends on the aros personality.. get a small aro and the biggest clown loaches you can find/afford.. if the aro is say 5" and the clowns are to you won't have to worry.. what you need to worry about is the aro outgrowing the 125..

I would say at least 6" - 8" to compensate the rapid growth rate or your clown would end up inside the aro stomach.

arowanas can get used to living with smaller fish, i knew this guy who had mollies and tetras living with an arowana.

who's that lucky guy?:grinno:

Your small aro may be stressed by all the frantic movement from the loaches.

Once your aro is bigger, there will always be a chance that your aro could eat the loaches. Give the loaches ample hiding spots and keep the aro well fed and they'll be fine.

Clown Loach are very active fishes. I had to sell my 10 Clown Loach (4-5") becasue my Black Arowana (12") was very nervous. But they live together more than 3 months without any fights and problems.

they are fine together, just get loaches @3" and up and do not let your aro go hungry and never feed your aro feeder fish or any live food then they are fine.
