Arowana and Discus.

Totally agree. I have 6 discus and 5 aros now, after getting the discus for 1 month, my mind has been flooded with water change, meds, high temp.... Discus is just too spoiled. True, discus are most beautiful fish, but when you have skinny, not eating, hiding, dark discus in your tank, and after so much time, and effort, it is just not the fish worthy to keep any more. That was why I was going to crank up the temp for the discus, but now I am thinking will not harm my aros for this ******* fish. I've had my 5 baby aros even since when they had the yolk sac, and they've been growing like weed without all the babysiting the discus have.

Im guessing their juves, right? 2-3"? 6 of them will do fine in a 55 if you keep the water changes up, if youve got some extra cash maybe a 72 bow or a 75, but a 55 would do. Then you could cook em when they stop eating, and you should leave it barebottom and feed them some like blackworms. even if they dont eat them at first theyll get to them if you crank up the temp and leave them in a barebottom for a while. In my experience discus respond well to metro coupled with some dewormer food, but Id first try to cook em up to like 88 or so, starve them for a day or 2, and then give them live blackworms. Of course, if youre not going to put them in their own tank and youre going to keep them in with the aro's, youre better off selling them now, trust me.
