arowana and Distichodus sexfasciatus

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
there not real common, but if you wanted one at any point in time, you can usually call 10 - 15 fish stores and find a couple that have one. Common? A little to pricey to call them common.

I have a lussusso with a larger leichardti and have had no problems. If you like it, go for it! Not many people seem to keep them.

Distichodus sexfasciatus pics but they get pretty big. The one I'm getting is 10"

these guys loose their colour with age....they become a greyish black......they got a nisty nip too.....my Dats hate him

I saw one in a restaurant yesterday that was the biggest I've ever seen ... at least 12" and FAT! The owner's had it for over 5 years. Don't worry, it was just a display tank and not for human consumption.

Unfortunately the tank it's in is much too small ... only 3' long by about 18" wide. It was hardly swimming around at all, and they're meant to be active fish...

I read a story on the web from a guy who had one for ten years! Got to be 33 inchs long and he had to get rid of it because it was too big for the 250 gallon tank he bought specifically for this fish
