.....thats a good question....
Was just wondering if any of you kept a Mata Mata turtle with a silver arowana? Might get a mata but wanted to know if they would be alright together. if not, will just have to set another tank for the turtle. Think they would be Ok together? Thanks!

Isn't ther a risk that it might hurt the aro? or tear the aro's fins? Or spoil the water beyond redemption?

Don't know where you always see this mix. Mata matas are strict piscavores and will make the aro a meal as soon as it can. Also, mata matas put out a huge amount of waste. Mine are in a 300 and require a 50% water change every 2-3 days just to keep their live fish diet alive long enough for them to be eaten.

At the store we have a mata mata about 15 inches long with a 2 foot or so arowana in a 600 gallon and they are fine.
