Arowana Attacked

Hi Guys,
My Silver Arowana has been attacked as its tail is ripped and some parts are missing scales, being replaced with blood spots. I do not know who attacked it. I have 2 Gator Gars, 2 Senegalus Bichir, 1 Ornate Bichir, 1 Clown Knife, and a Sailfin Placo. I'm suspecting the larger Gator Gar did it...
Please tell me who you think did it and how I can heal my Arowana.

I’d guess the gator gar. I’d separate the fish and try to reduce stress and a little salt 1 tsp per g. Keep a close eye.

You may need to rehome the Arowana it will continue to be attacked.

Yeah gar or knife depending on the knifes size.

I’d say the gar is the culprit, in the future you’re probably going to have to pick between the gar and the Arowana.

Btw, while it probably was a gar imo you can't totally absolve the Clown Knifefish (if it's bigger than the Aro), esp. if it happened at night, when they can be more active. Give us an update later on how it's working it out and hope your Arowana heals up nicely.

Thanks man, I checked last night and found the Clown Knife chasing the Arowana around and trying to bite it. It looked so innocent during the daytime, but at night it's a monster. After separating it, the tank looked much calmer .
The Arowana is healing quite fast and some of its scales is slowly growing back.
