I woke up this morning and found my asian aro in the overflow box no idea how he got there. So half of the tail is gone and the lower fin is just wagging n waiting to drop off :(

I added salt and melafix. Any other suggestions? And can he fully heal? How long will it take?

If i do partial wc everyday should i add melafix to compensate or should i continue to add melafix everyday till the 7th day n then do wc according to the instructions?

+1 adding a little aquarium salt also will help speed the healing process

Just keep doing what your doing, he will be alright.

Clean water will benefit the most with healing. I do a daily 50% water changes and then dose the melafix and pimafix right after the water change for injured fish. Also run temp at 82-83* and aereate the tank well. I don't add salt, unless treating for ich.
