Arowana can make sound?

can arowanas make sounds? b/c on arofanatics theres a thread of like people hearing there arowanas growling,i think the arowana makes the sound when theres a pair in the same tank,im getting curious so i posted and wondered

my african brown knifefish comes to the top of the water and makes clicking sounds at me all the time, but idk about aros

male arowanas cant produce a rather loud grunt, ive heard you cant actually feel it

My big green is CONSTANTLY making croaking sounds...

I hear it at least once a day...and the other people in my house also hear it.

It does it when swimming along side one of my big datnoids...as if it is trying to mate with it.

Do both male and female make this sound? I think it is more common with asian aro?...so many of you U.S members probably have never experienced it due to asians not being available to you.

There is a youtube video out there that has 2 asian aros swimming together making the exact noise that my green makes....only mine is doing it with a datnoid
