I had a 2ft RTG called Bruce he use to make a humming noise what got louder until the fish vibrated, he would also chase my American Bulldog as he walked past. I sold him & have just bought a 24K Golden head I hope he grows to do the same. he would make the noise once a day

my greens and banjars frequently make this sound. they shake for a few seconds and let out a deep vibrating grunt. think it has something to do with pairing/breeding. never heard my silver make any noise 'cept for splashing.

My SR and XB both do it. They are in separate tanks but they do it to other tankmates. XB has done it to stingrays and giant gourami and SR does it to flagtail. Its weird.
