i want to know all about arowana care. i want to add a small one to my 50 gallon aquarium until it can grow to be in my 1700 gallon pond. the tank has a 5 inch senegal bichir

If small 3-4 inches I suggest growout in aquarium alone.
Feed floating foods freeze dried mysis, freeze dried bloodworms should be accepted.
The most important is to keep a tight lid on aquarium because Silver Arowana are jumpers.
After the 6-8 inch mark try feeding floating carnivore sticks preferably made for Arowana.
Hikari floating food sticks should be readily eaten.
The Silver Arowana grows very fast so your bichir could be seen as a meal when Arowana gets larger.

Small silver arowana are not sensitive but fragile and can be finicky from my experience.

I have hard water in my area where I live 7-8 out of the tap no issues.

can i add it in my 12 foot pond. it has a 13 inch pacu and two irredescent sharks. the size of arowana will be 3 to 4 inch

I know about Asian arowanas, and America arowanas. I did not think they came from Europe. Not even the tropical parts.

I think you need to do lots more reseach before you get an advanced and demanding fish.
