AROWANA DIET

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Usually variety of live food would do the job. It would grow pretty fast depending on tank size. (If fish has room to grow)

i feed my arow, krill, shrimp, veggie pellets.

A fellow MFK mentioned feeding colour enhancing food and baby carrots to crickets. Once the crickets are done eating, feed them to your aro. Looking good on my baby now.

Variety on it's diet, a lot of space for swimming, and good filtration for quality water. The Aro will grow like crazy.

Yup! BIG tank, Water quality is first! Then Filtration, and now to our fav's....Foods...depending on size.....I would say frozen/FD brine shrimp, FD blood worms, crickets FD or gut loaded with carrots and hikari food sticks....personally, I would not use live feeder unless you have the extra time and money...aro's usually will stick to live foods from here.....centipedes,crickets,frogs,feeders....I would rather use fresh market shrimp, silver sides, tilapia fillets, chopped beef heart, even sliced up raw chicken oppose to live foods.....;)

Water changes and low or no nitrates are also very important!

i've tried many different types of food for my Jar..(pellets, F/D shrimp, gut load crickets, etc.) ...but, out of all those foods i've noticed that feeding market shrimp to him increased his size the fastest...

just how fast he grows also depends alot on water quality...and as other have said tank size as well..
