arowana dorsal fin damage

My Arowana dorsal fun got damaged 4 weeks ago and is not growing back any help welcome
 
Keep the water pristine (large daily changes), add in a vitamin supplement.

How large is it? If it refuses to grow back in a few months, then you'll have to perform some surgery on it! Take it out, cut the damaged fin as close to the stub as you can. It should then grow back more glorious than ever before.

IT's about 10 inches, my water is pristine and he is very healthy apart from his dorsal fin, surgery was my last option , anything else to try before that would be nice, he is in a 1000 litre tank with 2 fx5 filters , and 2 power heads, any other idears before I take the knife out,
 
Just keep water parameters in check along with wc's and if any of the dorsal fin was left from the fungus it should grow back. :)

I think it's gone beyond that, if it was going to grow back it would have by now,
 
If you already treated for fungus,and fungus is gone give it time. :) You don't want to keep stressing the Aro out.
 
I have treated for fungus a week ago, but there is little white spot on damaged finIMAG0997.jpgIMAG0997.jpg
