no need for that...the op just asked a simple question bderick...

silvers should basically be kept alone until they reach around the 8inch mark. they cant defend themselves when they are small....then you can keep them together..i have my silver with 4 gars..

Definitely possible. My tank have three crossback arowanas (24, 20, 16 inch) and one albino silver at 18 inch, they are co-existing peacefully with two florida gars at 18 and 14 inch respectively and a long nose gar at 16 inch.

No fight whatsoever. But when it comes to feeding, I need to make sure every fish have their share because the arowana are more aggressive in getting their food (market shimps and small pieces of fish). The gars usually let the arowana have their share first unless I use tongs to specifically deliver the food to the gar's mouth.

my 15-16 inch spotted gar has no issues with fish much smaller than him..... i introduced 4" severums with no issues... one pair even started laying eggs
