Arowana Grow Out Info Needed...

If you are gonna have the 300g done by Sept. you should be fine, although by July would probably be better. It's hard to say "how long?" because growth rates vary. Mine was raised for 6 months in a 55g and 6 months in a 75g. Started at 3.5" and in that years time grew to 14". There is another member here, her silver(raised in a 55g) grew from 6" to 16" in less than 5 months.

The filtration you have on the 55g is fine. I agree with the previous the magnum H.O.B.s are not very good.
 
Really my biggest concern is the tank not getting done in time and then not having a large enough tank.
 
No drama. Take it easy. The aro can stay in the smaller one for more time. just don't give up on the 300 gall project. No point in giving up on the aro, though..

yeah dont sweat it, i've been growing my smaller silver for about a year now and it looks like it could fit in a 50gal easily but i dunno for how long. you should be able to grow it in ur 50gal for atleast a year maybe but its not that great of an idea. my friends been growing his aro in a 80gal for about 3 years now, its over 26" now
 
I might end up with a Motoro ray also but wanted to know about my bichir and the ray being able to co exist?
 
i have my ornate, senegal, and Endli endli with my motoro pup. so far so good. i hear bichirs like to nip at the disc or tails of motoros tho. so be careful
 
ill just wait on the motor, even a small one should be fine in my 300.
