One of my silver arowanas has been swimming very strangely lately, almost as if its lower body is getting too heavy for him? I'm not sure if this is just a stage or some disease I may be able to do something about. Tell me what you guys think...Here's a pic:

You have another in the same tank? Does it do the same? Is there a heavy current from a pump or filter in the tank?

I have 3 of em together in the same tank... they are like 11 inches each atm, and they get along perfectly fine. never seen them fight or even nudge each other, and they dont have to struggle to eat because i give plenty. The filter in my tank is an FX5 which shouldnt be too strong of a current. I can try to move it?

I'd suspect a swim bladder issue, but it could also be an injury to it's spine from hitting the lids.

It swims like this all the time or occasionally? And it just started one day?

reminds me of mine that I adopted a few years back. It was much worse though and the aro was 21". What size tank are you keeping your aro in? Does the aro swim much of is it more stationary?

My aro

Looked at past threads. Do you still have the aros in the 125g tank? Have you gotten your water quality issues corrected?

Hey, yeah they havent grown too much... maybe an inch at the most but not noticeably. They swim very regularly, and they are never stationary... The water levels are good right now and I waterchange quite often so that's not the issue here. IDK what's wrong with it... :[ it wasn't doing that until today.
