also, try not to freak the fish out to much such as making sudden movements close to the tank as silver aros can be very jumpy. when i bought mine, i would hold a piece of krill in the water about twice a day and the aro would ignore it. finally, after the 3rd day he took the krill out of my hand and ive been handfeeding him ever since!

My RTG didn't eat for 3 days after introducing him. And even when he did start eating, it was only a little bit. It took about a week to get him on a full diet. Relax and try not to worry too much.

3-14 days. at 10" he'll be fine. if he goes past a month without eating. then post back
and same here koji! hand feeding almost 30" beast's is a tough one. especially when there starving and lunge like mad men during feeding time. and i mean BOOM SPLASH BOOM BOOM BOOM during feeding time lol

haha im sure that will stop when he gets a little bigger. he's only 10" and often times he makes a nice splash and usually bites my hand instead of the food

This is the reason why I stop doing hand feeding to aros which are brown up.
