-the easiest and cheapest way would be to check your lfs for the plastic stripping

-second best option is plexiglass. it takes more money and more skills but will to the same job.

-and the last resort would be to build yourself a fully enclosed top.

You may want to weight down the tops as it gets bigger you can use a piece of slate to weight it eventually
to cover the hole go to your local hardware store get a piece of black Plexiglas custom cut to fit the hole make sure to under mount it or attach it in some other way

try a bigger aro if you can find one, those oscars look about 5" long, and most people recomend making sure the aro is twice the size of the oscars

im getting a black aro around 10-12 inches i think im gunna go with plastic if i can find it but if i cant i might build myself a canopy and eventually have the plastic and the canopy

id worry about the aro safety, not how a bit of tape looks on your tank

go to home depo and buy some foam board,cut it to size and glue gun it.
