Yeah right...most aros are freaked by any sudden movements near to the tank. You are saying this aro of yours, that has never eaten a parrot nor would it veiw as a food source, is tracking your bird through glass :duh:and attacks when it is close.:bs: Maybe your bird scared the crap outa the aro and it was just showing normal, skittish aro behavior. :screwy:

:iagree:

Geez excuse me for posting my experience here. Yes, I'm talking about my aro. which is pretty dam aggresive toward anything near his tank not some chicken sh*t skittish aro. And NO my aro has never eaten a bird but it does aggresively track the birds movement thru the glass, maybe its instinctive behaviour, IDK. I've owned a bunch of aros, silver, jar, black, etc. so its safe to say I can tell the difference between running scared, stalking prey, or protecting its territory. This same aro. (I call him The Beast) also trys to attack my dog when it gets too close and also loves attackin me when I change water.

BTW, anyone else ever seen their aro puff its mouth pouch at yah or hear it growling before? Oh wait thats just BS too so nevermind.

:WHOA: :ROFL::nono::liar::bs::raspberry

Hmmmm.....My Senegal wont stop screaming, maybe I should start keeping him in the fish room.......:D

ok ladies yea umm hav any of u guys thought that it could of been a smaller species of macaw like a hans macaw???????????-think bout it

Ok...I thought about it, and I agree.......:bs: :grinno: You're still talking about a bird the size of a cockatiel. The only way a 2' aro ate this bird is if the mother waddled her prego butt to the tank, opened the top (aro tank...should have one) and pooped egg into the tank. It would have then probably apologized for the no-flush....

I did mention this several times.

Uh, someone tell me that "growling aro" comment was a joke...Cause if it's not, I gotta tell you about my aro that captures prey with sizzling lasers that shoot from his eyes...;)

yea ok the dudes a totalk knonb for havn an open tank but i feed my 1foot silver aro that i feed weaner rats

dunno why you guys are so skeptical an arowana would definatly jump at a bird flying over its tank.
Stories often get embellished the bird couldve been flying or it coulda been standing on the edge of the tank gazing in, it couldve been a small juvenile macaw or some other kind of expensive bird.
my aro jumps at things above its tank so whats the big deal! an aro would 100% go for a bird. who cares whether it was a macaw or a budgie. cool story!

Maybe a pima could eat one but a 2 foot Aro. No way. I got one nearly that big and a chicken would not fit in his mouth. When you say Macaw, I think of a Blue and Gold and that bird is nearly a meter long.

I would like to add THIS IS NOT MY STORIE the guy who dropped the fish off said this.
