The males makes a short 2-6 second "growl" while trying to entice the female to breed...I always assumed they made it by rubbing their bony mouth plates together, but I can't find any scientific info about it anywhere...
maybe the aro tried to eat it and it drowned then the owner removed the bird and gave away the aro
