Arowana ID?

Its 4x2x2 double over flow acrylic with acrylic lids. I picked up the entire set up with fish for $300. I started adding plants to it today. Some jungle Val, myro filigree, and purple cabomba.

Its a silver. You're in FL, so I'm guessing the pond he's going in will stay up to temp all year? If so, i'm sure he would like a pond. Those dimensions are good.
(now I don't know much about ponds or how Arows do in them, but i'm just saying the dimensions of it are good).

Its possible that being in a pond also, his eyes may return to normal.

Silvers and Blacks have that same shape. Blacks have more dark in their fins.

Leis and Jars have distinguishable spaces between their dorsal, anal and caudal fins as well as not being as long. So no question that its a Silver.

Also, the sooner he gets into a larger tank, the better he will look. But he'll be good in that one for several months to a year I would guess.

The arowana is already at max size for the length of the tank. In a few months it should be nearing 24" long, of coarse this would be with proper. I'm sure without water changes and maybe jusrt feeding goldfish maybe the growth can be stunted enough for it to last a year in that tank.

I woudnt do that to a fish why would anyone purposely give them poor livong conditions im cleaning the pond right now he will be in it by thw weekendl

Just make sure you've got something in place so it can't beach itself. They'll jump clear out of a pond, too.

I thought that silvers were not allowed to be kept in Florida?
