Yeah Idk about the ping pong ideal, I saw him open his mouth its like a trap door lol. Well short update, waters almost to temp in pond. And his other eye is starting to get a lil cloudy hopefully ill start to see some improvement in a week or 2.
 
He didnt make it I found him floating today when I got home. His good eye seemed to become the worse eye and was very cloudy and white. This is the second big fish I've gotten that hasnt made it past a few days the other was a GATF. Thanks for all the input and help and ways.
 
a good way to prevent DE from what ive read is diet (low fat) and floating foods.
i would drop a couple of ping pong balls in for him to "look" at
