If you already know you don't have the capability to keep arowanas, why are you planning on getting another one soon?

You are suppose to read up on how to keep arowanas before even getting (and killing) them.
My suggestion, go to the arowana section and read up on how to keep them, any questions feel free to post a thread and people over there with REAL arowana keeping experience will help you along the way.
I'm in Michigan too. I've also had problems keeping silver arowana. I lost one due to it still having the yolk sac. I lost a couple from jumping. One from my old room mates cat playing with an old school heater(temp was mid 90's and fish was cooked). Lost another to tankmate aggression. Then I thought I had it figured out. I had three aros between 15" and 26"(raised 2 of them from 6"+all healthy).. Then disaster struck again. I lost one when I moved and the other one a couple months later(he must have freaked out and hit the glass center support). I still have one silver though. I'ver never had a problem with jardini. I have 2 of those.
Thanks pi-eyed, and pshtex. Didn't know there was an arowana forum, But will find it. Some of you either don't read entirely or don't appreciate my sense of humor. I won't hold that against you though. And I occasionally get Pi-eyed too. The quest for the real killer goes on.

Id say maybe the aros u bought are psycho? Get them to a shrink for fish as soon as u buy them. Email me you cc info and ill set u up with a fish shrink.
