how much does it lean, and is it always to the same side? I've notice that some of mine in the past would lean towards the light source.
Yep... mine does the same. Is your fish swim on opposing sides of the light?

yea, depending on what side of the light he was on he would lean into it.

he seems to lean more when swimming to the right if he is swimming to the left swims pretty normal.:irked:

could the lighting be too bright? i know that sounds stupid but..

also could be a swim bladder issue-aros can breathe in air, and that oxygen goes to the swim bladder where there are tons of little capillaries in there-thats why if they jump out of the water they can live for a bit on that oxygen from the swim bladder.

are you doing regular waterchanges? is he eating ok? can you post a pic for us?

how does his body look? beat up and ragged fins or is he looking okay and clear eyed? the only thing else i can think of is a bacterial infection in the swim bladder-but then like other ppl have posted he may just be leaning to see the surface

i would dim the lights for a bit-see if he still does that behavior, since most aros are photophobic. i just dont know what else to tell you-maybe someone else here can help more!
